Where should I use Cool-Tape and what is its purpose?

Cool-Tape can be used on multiple surfaces, wrapped on lines, hoses or wires. This material is simple to install and is flexible enough to conform to most situations. It should not be wrapped directly on exhaust pipes. It was designed to reflect radiant heat to isolate and save components from high temperatures. Cool-Tape has a super strong self-adhesive backing capable of protecting up to 2000°F radiant heat. It is made of a one mil aluminized material bonded to woven fiberglass.

Can the material be cut easily?

Yes, the material is easy to cut. A simple pair of scissiors or a razor will do the job.
